Labour gain from Liberal Democrats

A by-election was held for the Alexandra ward of Ipswich Borough Council on 2 May 2013 following the resignation of Liberal Democrats Cllr Ken Bates.

John Cook gained the seat for Labour as a Labour Co-operative candidate.
