Conservative gain from Liberal Democrats

A by-election was held for the Balsham ward of South Cambridgeshire District Council on 2 May 2013 following the resignation of Liberal Democrats Cllr Pauline Jarvis.

Andrew Fraser gained the seat for the Conservatives.
