Conservative gain from Liberal Democrats

A by-election was held for the Shrub End ward of Colchester Borough Council on 7 September 2017 following the resignation of Liberal Democrats Cllr Karen Tracy Chaplin.

Vic Flores gained the seat for the Conservatives.
