Liberal Democrat gain from Labour

A by-election was held for the Tupton ward of North East Derbyshire District Council on 15 September 2016 following the resignation of Labour Cllr Wayne Lilleyman after recieving a police caution for assault (link).

David Hancock gained the seat for the Liberal Democrats.
