Labour hold

A by-election was held for the Barnsbury ward of Islington London Borough Council on 14 July 2016 following the resignation of Labour Cllr James Murray in order to take up a post in the administration of the new Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.

Rowena Champion held the seat for Labour.
