Liberal Democrats hold

A by-election was held for the Carshalton Central ward of Sutton London Borough Council on 28 July 2016 following the resignation of Liberal Democrats Cllr Alan Salter after being arrested on suspicion of fraud (link).

Chris Williams held the seat for the Liberal Democrats.
