Labour hold

A by-election was held for the mayoralty of Hackney London Borough Council on 15 September 2016 following the resignation of Labour Mayor Jules Pipe to join the administration of the new Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.

Philip Glanville held the mayoralty for Labour.
