West Thornton by-election, 2016

Labour hold

A by-election was held for the West Thornton ward of Croydon London Borough Council on 5 May 2016 following the resignation of Labour Cllr Emily Benn, granddaughter of former Labour MP Tony Benn, to move to New York for a new job at an investment bank.

Callton Young held the seat for Labour.
