Westoe by-election, 2014

UKIP gain from Independent

A by-election was held for the Westoe ward of South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council on 2 October 2014 following the death of Independent Cllr Jane McBride. Cllr McBride was elected in 2011 and this seat will be up for election again in 2015.

Norman Dennis gained the seat for UKIP.
