Labour gain from Conservative (from Liberal Democrats after by-election gain)

A by-election was held for the Alston Moor ward of Eden District Council on 20 July 2017 following the resignation of Liberal Democrats Cllr Thomas Sheriff, elected in a previous by-election for Alston Moor held on 4 August 2016, covered here.

Lissie Sharp gained the seat for Labour.
