A by-election was held for the Ancoats and Clayton ward of Manchester City Council on 5 December 2013 following the death of Labour Cllr Mike Carmody.

A previous by-election was held in Ancoats and Clayton ward on 10 October 2013.

Ollie Manco held the seat for Labour.
