Labour hold

A by-election was held for the Longholme ward of Rossendale Borough Council on 4 December 2014 following the resignation of Labour Cllr Liz McInnes, elected in 2014, after being elected to parliament in the Heywood and Middleton by-election, covered here.

Annie McMahon held the seat for Labour and will be up for election in 2018.
