A by-election was held for the Chertsey Meads ward of Runnymede Borough Council on 27 September 2012 following the death of Conservative Cllr Diana Cotty.

Peter Boast held the seat for the Conservatives.

A later by-election was held in Chertsey Meads on 13 March 2014.
