A by-election was held for the Seasalter ward of Canterbury City Council on 19 September 2013 following the death of Conservative Cllr Mike Sharp.

This was the second by-election in Seasalter in 2013, with a previous contest held in May.

Mike Bull gained the seat for UKIP.
