A by-election was held for the Littledown and Iford ward of Bournemouth Borough Council on 15 November 2012 following the resignation of Conservative Cllr Nick King, in order to contest the Police and Crime Commissioner election for Dorset on the same day.

Gill Seymour held the seat for the Conservatives.
