Independent White gain from Labour

A by-election was held for the Madeley ward of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council on 8 December 2016 following the death of Independent Cllr Billy Welsh, elected as a Labour councillor in 2014.

Gary White gained the seat as an Independent.
