Labour gain from UKIP

A by-election was held for the Silverdale and Parksite ward of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council on 4 August 2016 following the death of Independent Cllr Eileen Braithwaite, originally elected as UKIP.

Gareth Snell gained the seat for Labour as a Labour Co-operative candidate.
