Pontefract North by-election, 2015

Labour hold

A by-election was held for the Pontefract North ward of Wakefield Metropolitan Borough Council on 24 September 2015 following the resignation of Labour Cllr Paula Sherriff, the new MP for Dewsbury, elected in 2012.

Lorna Malkin held the seat for Labour, and will be up for election again in 2016.
